Signing EPC Contract for the two components of Nam Con Son 2 Pipeline Project

 - On May 5th 2014, in Hanoi, Vietnam - Russia Petroleum Joint Venture Vietsovpetro signed an EPC contract for the sea part of Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Project with PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) and a framework agreement on EPCI contract for Dai Hung Gas Collection project with PtroVietnam Exploration and Production (PVEP).

 

The US$ 1.3 billion Nam Con Son 2 Gas Pipeline Project includes 325 kilometers offshore, 30 kilometers onshore pipeline and a gas processing plant (GPP). The project consists of the four components such as Nam Con Son Gas pipeline phase 1 with about 151 km of 26”pipeline from Thien Ung drilling rig to Bach Ho field, belonging to Nam Con Son 2 Project that will be built previously; Dai Hung Gas Collection Project; an additional project for upgrading infrastructure of Bach Ho field for receiving gas from Thiên Ưng - Đại Hùng fields.

Nam Con Son 2 Gas Pipeline Project is a  national focusing project on Oil and Gas, that would take an important part in development and perfection of the   infrastructure of the gas industry of Vietnam in period to 2015 and outlook up to 2025. This is also the most large and complicated both by the technical level  and progress requirement gas processing project, executed by Vietnamese companies so far

Vietsopetro Director General Tu Thanh Nghia ​​said, it is a challenging situation when the first time Vietsopetro has to install a gas pipeline with diameter of 26 inch and length of over 150 kilometers. He pledged, Vietsopetro will cooperate with scientific and technical institutes, and subcontractors, it’s member units to complete the project  with a good quality and fair progress.

The project expected to be finished and put into operation at the end of June 2015.
