According to Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), the Premier Oil has officially open N3P well of the Dua Mine, 12W Lot, Vietnamese continental shelf, with an oil flow of about 3,500 barrels per day.

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) informed, the “Thorough Recovery” Project of Rang Dong mine has given the first oil flow.

On July 30, 2019, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a workshop to approve the project on mineral exploration at Ha Lam coal mine, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, established by the Mine geological Joint Stock Company under Vietnam National Coal and Minerals Industries Group (Vinacomin).

On January 29th, 2015, at the PetroVietnam Technical and Service Corporation (PTSC) Lower section Port  in Vung Tau city, PTSC M&C was held a Groundbreaking Ceremony of manufacturing ST PIP compressor for the White Lion mine.

On November 19th, Mao Khe Coal Company held a Groundbreaking Ceremony of pair of vertical sharps - Underground mining project below minus 150, Mao Khe mine.

At the Production Control Center in Quang Ninh, the Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Company (Vinacomin) - Phan Xuan Thuy had a meeting with coal companies: Hon Gai, Uong Bi, Deo Nai on investing in coal mine development projects.

PVEP held a ceremony to welcome the first oil flow from Su Tu Nau (Brown Lion) and Su Tu Vang Tây Nam (Southwest Golden Lion) mines - 15.1 Lot in Ho Chi Minh city. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the Ceremony.

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production (PVEP) informed, at 10h10 19 Sep.2014, Su Tu Vang Tay Nam (Southwest Golden Lion -SWGL) Project under 15-1 lot, Vung Tau offshore executed by Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (Cuu Long JOC) produced the first commercial oil flow, for just 5 days later than operation of Su Tu Nau Nam (South Brown Lion) mine ( also under Cuu Long JOC).  

At the PVC- MMS port, Petroleum Machinary Assembly & Metal Structure JSC (PVC-MS, stock code: PXS) held a beginning ceremony of E-House manufacture for Te Giac Trang Mine (White Rhinoceros) H5 rig Project.

On the afternoon of November 4, 2023, at Thanh Cong mining site, Hon Gai Coal Company, Vinacomin held a starting up ceremony for the Project “Coal exploitation with a deep level below -220 at Binh Minh Mine”.

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation  (PVEP) told:  at 10h45 am on 14th Sept. 2014, Su Tu Nau Nam (STN-N) mine has given the first oil  flow from SNS-2P well  with an oil flow of 5,300 barrels per day, earlier for 47 days than planned date. The next three SNS-1P, SNS-3P and SNS-4P  wells will be put into operation in turn and then the total flow of   STN-N mine is expected of 28,000 barrels per day.

At Halong City, Quang Ninh Province, the Vietnam Foreign Trade Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Vietcombank) and the Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company (JSC) signed a VND 800 billion  credit agreement for a pit mining project at Nui Beo coal mine.

According to the information from Japanese Idemitsu Kosan Company on Aug 21, the company has founded a new oil and gas mine at the fourth explorative well in the lots of 05-1b and 05-1c offshore Southern Vietnam.
