Southwest Gas Project has been started deployment

SW POC, a subsidiary of PetroVietnam (PVN) is a representative of the manager on behalf of the investorsto manage and operate the project with a total investment of about $ 1.27 billion.

his is a project implemented in the form of business cooperation contract (BCC) with partification of the investors as PVN, Vietnam Mechanical Corporation, MOECO (Japan) TPTEP (Thai Lan).
The project consists of a gas pipeline with a length of 431 km (including 292 km offshore and 139 onshore and a capacity of 20.3 million cubic meters/day or 6.4 billion cubic meters/year; the landing and distribution stations in Kien Giang; and a distribution center in O Mon.
This project has aims to transport natural gas from lots B, 46/95 and 52/97 to power plant in Omon (Can Tho city), Kien Giang province, Ca Mau Gas – Power – Fertilizer coplex and other customers in Southwest region.
At the meeting, Kien Giang PPC leader confirmed to support investors in early copleting procedures on land planning, coordination and appraisal on environmental impact according to regulations of the laws and satisfying requirements on socio-economic development in Kien Giang province and Southwest region as well.
Previously, on May 9, SW POC and the Consortium of Australia Worley Parsons and PV Engineering signed the contracts on updating general design and establishing overall estination of Lot B – O Mon gas pipeline project with an aim to obtain the final investment decision (FID) from in the beginning of 2018 in order to get gas at the end of the Third quarter of 2021.
