Xuan Tho 1 &2 solar power projects have been approved for investment

Each of these projects has a capacity of 49.6 MW, 76.2 million kWh/year, investment capital of 1,247 billion VND, and occupies about 60 ha.
According to the information of the Vietnam Energy Magazine, there are 14 potential locations for solar power projects in eight districts, towns, areas of mountainous hills, topsoil specialized rice, rice land having been planned for the interdisciplinary industrial zone, etc.
Phu Yen province has planned around 5,160 ha for the solar power projects with a total capacity of 3,541MW. The three mountainous districts, in particular as Song Hinh, Son Hoa and Dong Xuan have the potential for developing 4 solar power projects on reservoirs of Song Hinh, Song Ba Ha hydropower plants, and Buon Duc, Phu Xuan irrigation reservoirs with an area of 3,900 ha for a total capacity of 2,640 MW.
