Atomexpo Forms Trends in 2014

 - Atomexpo 2014 VI International Forum is taking place in Moscow on June 9-11. The Forum’s main topic this year is “Nuclear energy as a condition of power stability”.

 

Its main goal to give the world’s nuclear energy and industry leaders an opportunity to publically determine the role of atomic generation in power energy sphere in the XXI century and to analyze main challenges, problems and development options of the world’s power market. The Forum’s main topic this year is “Nuclear energy as a condition of power stability”. The IAEA’s prognosis shows a constant increase of number of nuclear power plants in the world for the nearest 20 years. Nuclear energy can help increase energetic safety, reduce the influence of organic fuel unstable prices, soften the consequences of climate change and make national economies more competitive.

Within the framework of “Atomexpo-2014” International Industry Forum a specialized exhibition of the leading Russian and foreign companies of the nuclear and related sectors will be organized. Participation in the “Atomexpo-2014” International Industry Forum will allow the world leaders of the industry to exchange best practices and experience of implementation of new approaches, notably enhance their sphere of presence and present their products and services to the nuclear community.

The participants of the Exhibition will include Russian and foreign companies of the nuclear sector; suppliers of equipment, components, spare parts and services for the industry;  construction companies;  IT and consulting companies and specialized Russian and foreign mass media.

During of its existence Atomexpo has become one of the key international meeting points for views exchange between the leading international experts of nuclear industry, forming trends of the industry’s further development. The Forum will traditionally include international specialized exhibition and congress (plenary and round table sessions) with the participation of international and state public organizations, Russian and foreign industrial companies, leading experts of nuclear energy sphere.

The Forum was first held in Moscow in 2009. A jubilee, V Atomexpo-2013 International Forum, having been held in Saint-Petersburg, united over 2 000 participants from 42 foreign states.

More than 800 delegates from 275 organizations made their presentations and reports during round table sessions and section meetings, their speeches dedicated to the most essential topics of nuclear power sphere. The Forum was held under special conditions: for the first time it became part of a highly important event for nuclear power sphere – the IAEA International Conference, which was taking part in Saint-Petersburg on the same days. The countries like Angola, Belgium, Zambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Lebanon and Pakistan took part in the Forum for the first time.

Several strategically important agreements were signed during the event, such as that in nuclear power sphere between Rosatom and foreign companies and state bodies.  The work of the event, in which 153 exhibitor companies took part, was publicized by Russian and foreign mass media.
