Germany supports Vietnam to apply the smart power grids

The project aims to improve the legal framework related to the promotion and support for developing renewable energy sources in the power system and smart grids in Vietnam.
The project will be carried out in the whole country for 4 years (2018-2022) with a total investment of 5,297,980 Euros. Of which, 5 million euros is from grant ODA of the German Government and 297,980 Euros – from funds of the Vietnamese side arranged by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to send a diplomatic note for officially informing the German side about the Decision of the Prime Minister of Vietnamese government.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade asks the notices and comments from the relevant ministries and agencies for it to complete, appraise and approve the project documents and decide the project investment in accordance with the current regulations.
