On March 9, in the area of existing Quan 3- 110 kV Transformer Substation, (Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city), the Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2) held a ceremony for groundbreaking construction of Ngu Hanh Son 220 kV Transformer Substation (TS).

220 kV Ngu Hanh Son TS project includes two transformers installed capacity of 125 MVA each (2x125 MVA), with one transformer installed in the first stage, 3feeders of 220 kV and 4 feeders of 110 kV.
Besides, the project also involves upgrading the control and protection systems of the entire substation, constructing 6.6 kilometers of 220kV transmission lines (of which 3.31 kilometers of 4 circuits with 2 circuits of 220kV and 2 circuits of 110kV going on a tower and 2.45 kilometers of 110 kV underground cable from Tuyen Son bridge to the substation.
Up to now, the procedures on planning, land supply and compensation of Ngu Hanh Son 220 kV substation and of remaining transmission line part of the project has been completed. The selection of contractors for equipment supply, construction and installation of the project has also completed.
The project is expected to be put into operation in the second quarter of 2015.
