  It is estimated that there will be about 3,290 industry professionals from 26 countries and regions attending the International Mining and Minerals Recovery Exhibition and Conference - Mining Vietnam 2014 taking place on 11 to 13 March, 2014 at the International Center for Exhibition (ICE), Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Following the successful inaugural event in 2012, the 2nd International Mining and Minerals Recovery Exhibition and Conference (Mining Vietnam 2014) will return from March 11 to 13, 2014 at the International Centre for Exhibition (ICE) in Hanoi.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with several research institutes, colleges and companies has implemented a mineral mining and processing technology development program and has recorded positive achievements during the 2010-2015 period, said Nguyen Huy Hoan, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Science and Technology Department at a workshop to review the implementation of plans to modernize the mining industry.

Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) informed that in April this group will focus to exploit coal at highest level with striving to exceed 4 million tons of raw coal.

Khe Cham Coal JSC was the first affiliate to Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) making intensive investment in mechanized pit coal mining activities, significantly raising efficiency and ensuring safety.

The second international mining and minerals recovery exhibition and conference, Mining Viet Nam 2014, opened  from 11 to 13 at the International Centre for Exhibition (ICE) in Ha Noi.

According to the coal industry development master plan approved by the prime minister, coal output will reach 66-70 million tonnes by 2025. However, it won’t be easy to realize this target as many conditions and factors need to be satisfied, in which the role of natural resources is of much importance.

In his conclusion speech at the meeting for summing up 2014 plan and deploying 2015 tasks of Vietnam national Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin), Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai requested Vinacomin to speed up technological innovation, study to accelerate mechanization pit coal mining, perfect and innovate management mechanism, strengthen the mobilization of social resources...

The Government Office has just announced the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung at the meeting on the production and business situation of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin). In announcement there is a notice that in recent time, Vinacomin tried the best to perform tasks in the investigation, evaluation, exploration, exploitation and processing of coal to meet the majority of coal demand in the country, especially coal supply for power generation to contribute to requirements on national energy security, life stabilization of the labors and revenue payment to state budget.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued the Circular No 32/2016 BCT for the National Technical Regulation on Mining Capstan Safety applied for the organizations and personals relating designing, manufacturing, installing, using, fixing, checking, testing and verifying mining capstans in Vietnam.

International mining groups and Vietnam’s mining leaders will work together at an exhibition and conference Mining Vietnam 2016 to develop Vietnam’s mining industry.

Vietnam’s mining industry is facing more difficulties this year due to lower export prices, unfavorable mining conditions and higher costs, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Government’ Prime Minister has approved the project on equitization of the parent company -  Viet Bac Mining Industry Corporation - Vinacomin (Vietnam National  Coal  and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation - Vinacomin) with a form of combination between selling a part of  state capital and issuing coupons for increasing charter capital of the enterprise.

Vinacomin in coordination with Business Administration College – Vinacomin has recently held a workshop on “ 3D laser scanning technology application in coal mining”  in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.
