Silicon prices have risen 300%, which leads to prices of the purified metalloid polysilicon have touched $37.10 a kilogram, from $6.19 less than a year ago. Polysilicon prices are expected to remain strong through the end of 2022, according to Roth Capital Partners analysts including Philip Shen. And even worse, this time the problem isn’t limited to polysilicon.

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has just announced the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - EVN Chief Accountant to position of EVN Deputy General Director from October 15, 1818, according to Decision No. 268/ QD-EVN dated 4 October, 2018 of the Chairman of the Member Council of Electricity of Vietnam.  

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has recently signed the Decision No.389/QD -TTg on approving the investment project for extending Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (HPP). Accordingly, the Hoa Binh HPP will be extended by an additional installing two unit with a capacity of 240 MW each (2x240MW). 

On the morning of May 8, in Hanoi, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) held a ceremony to announce and award the decision on the appointment of the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Vinacomin Members' Council.

In the afternoon of December 25, in Hanoi, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh, the Chairman of the Member Council of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) handed the Decision (Decision 445 / QD-EVN, December 25, 2019) to appoint Mr. Pham Hong Phuong, the Director of Power Project Management Board 1 for position of the Deputy General Director of EVN since January 1, 2020.

The Prime Minister has issued a Decision on the roadmap, conditions and sector structure for establishment and development of power market grades in Vietnam.

At the conference on investment promotion of Quang Binh province in 2021 held on January 17, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Trinh Dinh Dung handed Vietnam Electricity (EVN) the Decision of the Prime Minister on approving the investment policy for Quang Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant Project. 

The Prime Minister has just issued a document to agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) in principle on the ceiling price (maximum price) as 6.95 USCent/kWh for importing wind power from Laos. The average electricity price for the whole life of the project at the time of negotiation agreed between the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and investor must be not exceed this ceiling price.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to urgently modify and supplement Circular No. 15/2022/TT-BCT dated October 3, 2022, and Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023, on the framework of electricity generation prices for the transitional solar and wind power plants.

On March 4 Morning, in Hanoi and 7 points of Online TV as Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Ca Mau and Soc Trang, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) held a ceremony on publishing Decision to appoint the Member of the Member Council, General Director of PVN for Mr. Nguyen Vu Truong Son.

On Aug 12, in Quang Ninh province, the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Coal – Mineral Industry Holding Corporation (Vinacomin) held a meeting for publishing and handing over an appointment Decision the post of  Member  of Vinacomin Member Council to Mr. Dang Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of Vinacomin, Director of Center for Coal productive execution in Quang Ninh province.

The Prime Minister issued Decision No.2414 dated December 11, 2013 on amending the list and schedule of a number of power projects in the period 2013-2020, stipulating some special mechanisms and policies for implementing urgent power projects in order to meet  power demand in 2014-2020 and after 2020 periods.
