According to the information from Japanese Idemitsu Kosan Company on Aug 21, the company has founded a new oil and gas mine at the fourth explorative well in the lots of 05-1b and 05-1c offshore Southern Vietnam.

On November 2, 2019, on the occasion of the 35th ASEAN Summit and relevant conferences, Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Thai Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul witnessed the ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the investment cooperation between B. Grimm   Power Company under B. Grimm Group (Thailand) and Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) under Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industry Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) has directed its units to carry out business by a prior way to survey Northeast coal area for enhancing reserve from – 300 m up and verifying reserve at a level below – 300 m in order to carry out designing improvement and extension of the existing mines and developing new mines with more large capacity.
