Discovering a new oil flow in BH - 47 exploratory drilling well
In this well, Vietsovpetro had received a self ejecting oil flow without water from the Mioxen object at depth of 3178 – 3277 m. The wellhead pressure in 25.4 mm taper regime is 32 atmosphere , average oil density – 0.83gr/cm3, calculation flow of oil – 610 m3/day, gas – 110,000 m3/day.
Mr. Le Viet Hai, Vice General Director of Geology said, Vietsovpetro will exact the geological structure of oil contain layer to value sphere of distribution and as well as recalculate petroleum reserve for continuing to assess in this area.
After entirely finishing drill and seam test, the BH – 47 well would be kept in good condition for the latter exploiting purpose.
The obtained results from BH – 47 well open a new potential for searching, exploring and exploiting activities in Bach Ho northeast area under Cuu Long basin on Vietnam shelf.
