Signing the agreement on connection and service for "The gas delivery point number 2"

 - PV Gas (PetroVietnam Gas Corporation) and Rosneft, Perenco - the two other owners of Nam Con Son pipeline project, signed the agreement on connection and service for "The gas delivery point number 2" (TSA).

"The gas delivery point number 2" (the other name as the Project on gas compensative delivery from Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant (NCS GPP) to Dinh Co GPP) is a project on connection of two the most important gas systems in the Southeast region, located in An Ngai commune, Long Dien District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. This project can be considered as an effective and traffic through "handshake" of the two systems for transmission of a part of  the gas from Nam Con Son  pipeline system to  PV Gas Dinh Co GPP.

With a gas flow of about one million cubic meters per day delivering to Dinh Co GPP from NCS gas system this project aims to optimize gas processing capacity of two GPP, harmonize gas supplying sources, make use of optimal capacity and efficiency of Nam Con Son and Mekong gas chaines, ensure a stable supply of gas and gas products for customers, especially the ethane supply for Long Son Petrochemical Complex.

Besides, the project will increase yet the flexibility in the operation process, in case of Nam Con Son GPP stopping for periodical maintenance and repair or by a breakdown. By this way, the project should participate in satisfying a more and more gas growing need  of the market and guaranteeing the national energy security.

"The gas delivery point number 2" is a project of great importance in ensuring flexible  operation between NCS and Mekong gas systems, that promises to achieve practical results in the near future for PV Gas in particular and for Oil and Gas Sector in general.

The contract on connection and service for "The gas delivery point number 2" is a legal basis for PV Gas and Rosneft, Perenco to perform connecting and installing the new equipment in  Nam Con Son GPP; and then to approve the plan of coordinating activities for the operation of the new equipment.

Rightly after the contract signing, PV Gas should carry out the construction and connection of the new equipment with a goal to receive the first gas flow from the Nam Con Son System to Dinh Co GPP by the first quarter of 2015. Estimating gas flow through "The gas delivery point number 2" in the formal operational stage could be reached 3 million cubic meters per day, at maximum.
