Signing EPC for Su Tu Vang Tay Nam project

The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a platform at Su Tu Vang Tay Nam project, with an estimated workload of over 2,000 tons.
The project is located in Block 15-1 of the Cuu Long Basin offshore the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau.
The engineering and procurement for the project is scheduled for completion in September.
PTSC M&C and Cuu Long JOC last December also reached a similar contract to develop two wellhead platforms for Su Tu Nhau project to the north of Block 15-1.
First oil from the Su Tu Nau and Su Tu Vang Tay Nam projects are targeted for the fourth quarter of 2014.
Partners in Cuu Long JOC are Petrovietnam Exploration and Production Corp, Perenco, Korean National Oil Corp., SK Corp. and Geopetrol Vietnam SA. The joint venture explores and taps oil at Block 15-1 in Vietnam’s continental shelf.
The JV is operating four projects in the block namely Su Tu Den (Black Lion) project, Su Tu Vang (Golden Lion) project, Su Tu Trang (White Lion) Gas-Condensate Field and a recently discovered Su Tu Nau (Brown Lion) project.
