PVN and JCCP strengthen cooperation in oil and gas processing and new energy development

 - According to information from Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), in Hanoi, PVN and Japan Petroleum Cooperation Center (JCCP) held a ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation between the two sides on oil and gas processing and new energy development.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, on behalf of the PVN leadership, Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung, a Member of the Member Council assessed signing MOU today marks a new chapter in cooperation between PVN and JCCP.

PVN and JCCP have started a cooperative relationship since 1990. In 2011, Japan included Vietnam in the list of countries with cooperative relation on oil and gas.

For nearly recent 30 years, thousands of staffs from PVN and its subsidiaries have attended training courses in Japan and more than 200 experts from JCCP have been to Vietnam to lecture, exchange knowledge and experience on economics - management - techniques in the petroleum mid and downstream.

At present, JCCP and its subsidiaries have implemented 14 technical projects in cooperation with PVN.

The current MOU between PVN and JCCP focuses on training, developing human resources, strengthening cooperation, exchanging experiences and techniques in the activities of the two sides with concentration on oil and gas processing and researching new energy development.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung expressed his belief that the cooperation between PVN and JCCP does not only strengthen the relationship and benefits for the participants in particular, but also shows the friendship between Japan and Vietnam in general.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr.Tsuyoshi Nakai, CEO of JCCP expressed his gratitude to PVN's leaders for their interesting, facilitating in supporting JCCP to   implement the cooperative projects between the two sides.

Mr. Tsuyoshi Nakai also expressed the desire PVN to continue to create favorable conditions for JCCP to perform better the cooperation between the two sides and believe that PVN and JCCP will continue to achieve many successes in cooperation and contribute to the constructing and consolidating Vietnam - Japan friendship.
