President and CEO of Honeywell worked with PetroVietnam

President and CEO of Honeywell PMT (Performance Materials and Technologies) and high-ranking delegation of Honeywell (USA) is working with PetroVietnam Leaders.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on promoting cooperation between PetroVietnam and Honeywell, especially in initial, middle and final stages and gas projects as well. Honeywell leaders wanted to know and update the development strategy of Petrovietnam in the coming time, on that basis to strengthen the cooperation on such fields of Honeywell strengths as automation, optimization and improvement of efficiency in oil and gas exploration and production as well as operating performance of the senior control/management solutions, etc.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Departments of Gas, Petroleum Processing, Petroleum Production, International Relations and PVEP.

Currently, Honeywell is actively involved in providing solutions to process automation for important projects including the initial stage (supply of control system for the rigs of Bien Dong POC, Vietsovpetro, the rigs at TGT H01, H04, H05 of Hoang Long JOC and provide the whole E-House solution) and final stage (Honeywell grants major technology license and supplies the integrated control system for Dung Quat Oil Refinery; provides technology copyright and equipment for the plant, is the main automation contractor and provides management service of the entire training plan so that the plant operates effectively after running in Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Project). Apart from equipment provision, Honeywell not only provides post-sales technical support services to Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Bien Dong POC, Hoang Long JOC but also interested in PVN’s power projects such as Long Phu, Song Hau, Quang Trach... as the world’s leading provider of process technologies, catalysts, and equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Honeywell leaders thanked Petrovietnam leaders for the close and effective cooperation in the joint projects in the recent years and proposed directions for mutual benefit cooperation in the near future to meet the needs of each side. Besides, Honeywell also looked forward to expanding investment opportunities in Vietnam in the fields of production, technology transfer and technical services, aiming to establish technical, technological or production points for Honeywell in the region and in the world.

Petrovietnam Vice President Le Manh Hung confirmed desires to cooperate with Honeywell in the areas of mutual interest such as: training automation engineers; improving and optimizing investment efficiency with Honeywell’s experience (proposing solutions to improve operational efficiency of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, contributing ideas to the projects for investing, upgrading and expanding Dung Quat Oil Refinery ...), deployment of LAB production project from Dung Quat Refinery; participating in the projects from design stage (rig installation project of PVEP ...); introducing solutions and technologies to enhance the efficiency of gas projects (Nam Con Son 2, Ca Mau GPP ...).
