PetroVietnam investment in project of the harbor and universal petroleum services in Nghi Son Economic Zone

 - Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has agreed the policy for PetroVietnam (PVN) to invest the project of harbor and universal petroleum services in Nghi Son Economic Zone. The project with a total investment level of VND 595 billion occupies about 54.9 ha in Nghi Son commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province.

The project includes: beach road, technical network for Nghi Son refinery and chemical complex, storehouse system, petroleum mechanical workshop, petroleum logistic area, area for producing and processing commodities, wharf in west bank road line of 320 meters to extend wharf No2 of Thanh Hoa PTSC with 200 meters in first stage (2015-2017) and 120 meters in second stage (2017-2020) for receiving the ships of 50,000 DWT.

Thanh Hoa PPC asks PVN to comply the detail planning norms approved by the competent level, carry out the measures to mitigate environmental impacts in process of project implementation and execute the legal regulations on environmental protection.

PVN is responsible to make investment project, agree the wharf marginal line with Vietnam Maritime Administration and report the Ministry of Transportation (MOT) for updating and supplementing this wharf to Nghi Son harbor detail planning approved by MOT under Decision No 1401/QĐ-BGTVT dated 26/5/2010, and at the same time,  carry out signing investment fund, complete documents and procedures on investment, construction, environmental protection, land use, and submit them for approving in accordance with regulation.

The departments, agencies and relevant organizations of Thanh Hoa province are responsible to guide, resolve timely the issues concerning the project in accordance with legal regulations.
