Nam Con Son Gas System has reached a milestone of 70 billion cubic meters of the gas

Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline transmits gas from  Nam Con Son Gas field to the shore at Long Hai and  Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant (Ba Ria – Vung Tau province).

Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Company (NCSP), a member unit of Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) was founded with the capital contribution of three partners as PV GAS Operator (51%), Rosneft, Russia (32.67%) and Perenco, France (16.33%) for  operating Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Project which transmits gas from  Nam Con Son Gas field to the shore at Long Hai and  Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant (Ba Ria – Vung Tau province) with a capacity of 22 million cubic meters per day. This plant expects to be in large maintenance from Sept. 9 to 14.

The achievement of transmitting 70 billion m3of gas once again affirms the strategic role of NCSP in gas industry of Vietnam that during over 13 years already transmitted to the shore more than 2/3 gas output of PV GAS supplying for Phu My and Nhon Trach power plants to produce around 30% of power generation of the country, contributing to guaranteeing national energy security and creating great economic benefits for investors and partners.

Since the date NCSP started operation there has been no any unfortunate beak-down or accident greatly affecting human life, properties and environment. The system was operated with an almost absolute reliability (over 99.99%). It is specially remarkable that the system was uninterruptedly maintained with a reliability of 100% for about 5 years (from Oct. 2011up to day). This is an extremely impressed safe chain that any similar petroleum company in the world dreams.

In coming time NCSP will concentrate effort to fulfill focusing targets assigned by investors, especially the large maintenance of Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant from Sept. 9 to 14.
