Four service contracts for the gas fields have been signed

At the ceremony, there were signed 4 service contracts as Contract on collecting, receiving and compressing gas from Cuu Long (Nine Dragon) field in 2016; Contract  on collecting, receiving and compressing gas from Cuu Long field in 2017 – 2020 period; Additional Subcontract No2 for the Contract on operation of  project for collecting gas from Rong- Doi moi (Dragon - Tortoise -Shell) gas field in 2016-2018 period and Extending Appendix No2 for Contract on providing services to operate,  maintain the low pressure gas collecting system  in Northern Vault region of Bach Ho (White Tiger) field.

The Contract on collecting, receiving and compressing gas from Cuu Long field to the coast between PVN/PV Gas and Vietsovpetro has recorded a new progress in cooperation of sides that is exchange from the ‘real payment – real expense’ form to the package form by unit cost of the gas collection and compression. The event has more important significance in the condition that businesses have been bearing a great pressure due to fluctuation of oil prices.

The additional and appendix contracts relating Rong - Doi Moi and Bach Ho fields are to confirm and recognize again qualitative achievements of activities staffs of Vietsovpetro have implemented with close friendly cooperation from PV Gas in recent stages.

In the early years when Vietsovpetro Joint Venture founded, in exploiting oil from Bach Ho field there was a lot of associate gas amount fired offshore that caused environmental pollution and waste of resources of the country. To resolve this problem, in 1995, PVN decided to build the central compressor system and small compressor for collecting and compressing gas from Bach Ho field to provide gas for oil exploitation and transmit gas to the coast power plants, fertilize and liquefaction. In 2010, with a fair confidence, PV Gas handed the compressor system for Vietsovpetro to operate.

In over 20 years, with the close direction of PVN, fair confidence and cooperation of PV Gas, Vietsovpetro was and is maintaining safe operating Bach Ho field gas collection system (later development to Cuu Long field system) that has brought an US$ 12 billion income from the condensate, LPG and dry gas for participants.
