Dealing with the shortcomings to speed up the progress of gas projects in lot B

Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Industry and Trade (Vietnam) recieved Mr. Tatsuo Yasunaga, Chairman and General Director, Mitsui & Co (Japan).

Mr. Tatsuo Yasunaga informed about the cooperation results achieved in many spheres, expecially participations in gas projects in lot B and expressed desire to continue receiving the supports (capital arrangement, foreign currency conversion, power plant deployment…) from Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Industry and Trade for speed in up the gas projects in lot B.

Minister Tran Tuan Anh high apprepriated the activities of Mitsui & Co in developing economy of Vietnam and its cooperation in implementing the gas projects at lot B, and expressed desire to cooperate with Mitsui & Co in LNG sector.

The Minister also asked Mitsui & Co to co-ordinate closely with Petrovietnam and relevant agencies to find the solutions as soon as possible to deal with shortcomings and speed up the progress of the gas projects at lot B.

For its part, Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to support Mitsui & Co in the framework of its competence and the Vietnamese laws, and ditect Petrovietnam, Electricity of Vietnam to speed up synchronizing implentation of lot B gas projects from upstream, midstream to downstream.
