A Japanese Company discovered a new petroleum mine offshore Vietnam

Pursuant to the information of Reuters, the discovery of Idemitsu Kosan has been confirmed on the basis of the test drilling waves implemented in May and August, beside the petroleum discovery in the other wells drilled in two these lots.
The Associated Press (AP) quoted an announcement of Idemitsu Company at the same day, there will be experiments for determining the petroleum reserve of the new mine.
Each of Idemitsu Kosan and JX Nippon Oil &Energy owns 35%, while Inpex Corp holds 30% stakes of this lot.
At present, JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation is looking for a way to build oil refinery plants and gasoline stations in Indonesia and Vietnam, while the domestic fuel consumption decreases. This is considered as the first major investment project in the field of mining petroleum outside Japan.
