The Mui Ne SPP in Binh Thuan province has generated electricity - 

In the morning of June 12, 2019, the Duc Thanh Mui Ne Joint Stock Company held a ceremony for the inauguration and commercial operation of Mui Ne Solar Power Project (SPP) with a capacity of 40MWp.

The project includes 100,000 PV solar panels with a capacity of 365W per each one, a step-up 22/110kV transformer substation and a section of 110kV double circit line from SPP to 110kV line from Luong Son town, Bac Binh district to Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city.

The project is invested by the Duc Thanh, Mui Ne joint stock company with capital contribution of Dragon Capital Fund (England) and Pacifico Energy Group (USA) with a total investment of 1000 billion VND.

The Mui Ne SPP was started for construction in October 2018 and put into test operation on May 28, 2019, and officially synchronized with the national power system on June 04, 2019. This is the 11th SPP in Binh Thuan province having been put into commercial operation. With an annual average output of 68 GWh, the project contributes to reduce

Over 55,447 tons of CO2 emission per year. It is necessary to emphasize that the total generation of Mui Ne SPP will be bought by EVN with a price of 9.35 cent per kWh in accordance with Decision 11/2017/QĐ-TTg of Prime Minister on mechanisms for solar power development

Currently, in Binh Thuan province, 26 solar power projects have decided investment policy, with a total capacity of nearly 1,072MW (equivalent to 1,346.7 MWp).

Currently, in Binh Thuan province, there are 26 solar power projects with a total capacity of nearly 1,072MW (equivalent to 1,346.7 MWp) which have the investment policy decisions. Among 26 SPPs, there are 17 projects completing construction and powering and among the 17 projects there are 11 ones having been put into commercial operation.

As expected, before June 30, 2019, in Binh Thuan, there will be 20 SPPs with a total capacity of 873.48MW (equivalent to 1,100 MWp) putting into commercial operation.
