Tay Ninh province attracts the investors of solar power projects

According to Tay Ninh Newspaper, the above projects have been provided by the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province with the investment policy, agreement of connection to the national power system. These project expect to be across- the- board started in late 2018.

The solar power projects in Tay Ninh province include three projects invested by Dau Tieng Tay Ninh Energy Stock Joint Company (Headquarter at 444 Bach Dang Street, Chuong Duong ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi city ) as: Dau Tieng 1 with a capacity of 150 MWp, total investment of 3,996 billion VND, developed on 216 ha; Dau Tieng 2 with a capacity of 200 MWp, total investment of 4,997 billion VND, developed on 288 ha; Dau Tieng 3 with a capacity of 150 MWp, total investment of 3,662 billion VND, developed on 216 ha; One project invested by Tri Viet Tay Ninh Stock Joint Company (address: Hamlet 5, Suoi Day commune, Tan Chau district) as Tri Viet 1 with a capacity of 30 MWp, total investment of 760 billion VND, developed on 60 ha.      

And one project invested by Bach khoa A Chau Tay Ninh Stock Joint Company (address: Hamlet 5, Suoi Day commune, Tan Chau district) as Bach khoa A Chau 1 with with a capacity of 30 MWp, total investment of 760 billion VND, developed on 60 ha.

Dau Tieng reservoir semi-flooded area (measured from the elevation of 24.4 m down to the elevation of 22 with the total area of about 20,620 ha, which is usually flooded in the rainy season and exhausted in the dry season.

In recent years Dau Tieng reservoir brought into play the role to provide agriculture, industry and livelihood of the people with fresh water. Today Tay Ninh PPC orients the multi-purpose development plan in order to bring into full play the potentials and advantages of the lake and the reservoir area, especially optimally exploit the semi-flooded area to develop the solar power projects, create a landscape for Dau Tieng reservoir for attracting tourists and at the same time, supplement renewable energy and minimize environmental pollution according to the policy of the Government.

Tay Ninh is considered a province having the high potential of solar energy with a radiation intensity of 5.1kWh / m2 / day and the average sunny hours per year up to 2,400, very suitable for developing solar power projects, therefore many businesses interest to invested in this area.
