Solar electricity prices may be counted by the regions

- Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT) Do Thang Hai informed: "The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just reported to the Government that our country with a shape of S letter spreading more than 1.6 thousand kilometers, so it is not suitable if solar electricity set by one price only but applied by the regions with different solar radiations”.
At the present, the government set up one solar electricity price of 9.35 UScent per kWh for all types of projects and all locations but this price was expired by June 30, 2019.
The MoIT is directing EVN, relevant agencies under ministry in cooperation with the experts, scientists and local authorities to establish an overall scenario of the solar electricity prices for different regions and different types (on ground, water surface, and rooftop) of the projects. This overall scenario will be reported to the government for getting the official direction at September 15, 2019.
