Operational Management of Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant will be carried out in Russian Language -

According to the Regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency  (IAEA), controlling  and operating the nuclear reactor built anywhere, is performed in the language of the reactor supply country. So, the language in Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) will be Russian.

The web informed that, at a meeting in Hanoi recently between representatives of the Russian National Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) and Vietnam Electricity (EVN), the two sides affirmed that, after appoving the feasibility study report, the technical design of Ninh Thuan 1 NPP is expected to be completed in 2017.

In 2017, a first group of 29 Vietnamese students will graduate the Atomic Energy Institute in Obninsk city, the suburbs of Moscow, where they are being trained to work in Ninh Thuan 1 NPP.

Experts Vietnam will master the scientific and technical knowledge on the nuclear energy field, and the necessary knowledge on Russian language, as well, for working at the NPP.

Russian language will be used at Ninh Thuan 1 NPP.

This is the requirement of the IAEA, so all documentations and introductions for Vietnamese experts working at Ninh Thuan 1 NPP will be compiled and launched in Russian.

Currently, there are more than 200 Vietnamese students studying at a pre-university faculty and the four first courses of Obninsk Atomic Energy Institute.

According to the Director of Obninsk Atomic Energy Institute, Madam Natalia Ayrapetova: “Vietnamese students are very hard to learn and have achieved excellent results. Innate perseverance and high motive power support them a lot, and as a matter of course, a good training level of mathematics and physics well in Vietnamese high school has given them more advantages compared to students from 15 other countries studying in our Institute".

Some other Russian universities also participate in training Vietnamese experts for the first NPP, among them is the Moscow Energy Institution (MEI).
