Lilama and Hitachi sign an Agreement of Cooperation on Nuclear Power Plant Construction

The Signing Ceremony on Agreement of Cooperation between 69-1 Lilama Stock Company (Lilama, Vietnam) and Hitachi Plant Construction Company (Hitachi, Japan) in Nuclear Power Plant Construction.
On behalf of 69-1 Lilama, Mr. Ngo Quoc Thinh thanked for the concern and cooperation that Hitachi Plant Construction (HPC) devoted to 69-1 Lilama. He also highly appreciated the help of HPC in manpower training for 69-1 Lilama and considered it as the first result in cooperation of two sides. Mr. Thinh said for the market in Vietnam the nuclear power projects are very new but promising things, they will play a very important role in ensuring energy security of the country, when domestic coal source will be gradually exhausted. It could be said, the collaboration between 69-1 Lilama with a position of strength and experiences in construction, maintenance and overhaul of thermal power plants and HPC with a strong potential of nuclear power technology will definitely bring the successes for the both sides. HPC Chairman said: "Hitachi Plant Construction is self-confident that it is a leading company of nuclear power technology in the world. Therefore, when coming to Viet Nam, we hoped to choose a strong partner in the thermal power field in general, and 69-1 Lilama was selected". At the signing ceremony, two sides exchanged the advantages and difficulties in the framework of cooperation on nuclear power projects, Mr. Ngo Quoc Thinh shared "It is the first nuclear power project which the company takes responsibility for, hence there are a lot of difficult and strange issues regarding the equipment, experience and specially, the severe engineering requirements on project construction. The term of Four years for preparing work is a rush, however the whole staffs and workers of 69-1 Lilama will try their best to take effective measures to step by step overcome the difficulties, make the best preparation for starting the construction of Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant in 2018. To reach this target, I would like ask the supports and sincere suggestions from HPC’’ Believing in a good result of the cooperation of two sides Mr. Thinh expressed the thank for respecting and good will from Hitachi Corporation in delegating a mission of high level, to participate in and witness the signing ceremony of a minutes of cooperation between 69-1 Lilama and HPC. |
Chairman of HPC Management Council Mr. Nobuho Gotou recognized and received the opinions of 69-1 Lilama leaders. He shared: "A duration of 4 years for you to carry out preparing works may be short or long. In case if you know how to arrange and plan the preparing works in detail for the future, that duration is enough for you to prepare everything, but on the contrary, the 4 years will pass very rapidly and you could do nothing. In your preparing process, Hitachi would like to be accompanied, support and share our experiences in case of your difficulties. Besides, we also expect to strengthen further the cooperation and receive the your feedbacks suggestions in order to promote the efficiencies of bilateral cooperation".
