Breaking ground of the Phương Mai 3 wind power project - 

Ha Long Investment and Consulting Joint Stock Company (HALCOM) and Central Region Wind Power Joint Stock Company have just broken ground of Phuong Mai 3 wind power project (phase 1).

Phuong Mai 3 along with Phuong Mai 1 (30MW) and Nhon Hoi (61.1 MW) are the wind power projects which have been licensed by Quy Nhon city authority for investment in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.

Phuong Mai 3 (phase 1) with a capacity of 21 MW and an average generation of more than 70 million kWh per year including 14 turbines by 1.5 MW each will be developed on an area of 120 ha.

With a total investment of about US$ 40 million the project will annually generate more than 70 million kWh of clean energy, bring about a turnover of 150 billion VND and contribute to reduce about 40 thousand tons of greenhouse gas (CO2).

The second phase of Phuong Mai 3 project expects to include 20 MW wind power and 20 MW solar power will be thoroughly investigated by the international consultants before submitting HALCOM leadership and functional authorities for approval.
