Allowing PNE AG to survey wind potential in Binh Dinh sea

 - Information from the Electronic Information Portal of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) said: The Binh Dinh PPC has agreed with the policy on allowing PNE AG a multinational wind power group with the head office in Germany to survey, study and install wind measuring poles for assessing wind potential in a number of the sea areas in Phu Cat and Phu My districts.

The Binh Dinh PPC asked PNE AG group in survey and study process to cooperate with the relevant provincial departments and agencies for fully implementing procedures and documents in accordance with the legal regulations, suitable with the other planning projects in the territory without affecting other activities on the sea.

The term of study and survey is 12 months from the date of the policy agreement.

The PPC assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over, and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and localities to guide the investor for implementing activities in accordance with the laws.

PNE AG is one of the world's leading investors in developing onshore and offshore wind power projects with over 20 years of experience.

PNE AG services are survey for site selection, investment license application, capital mobilization, disbursement, design, construction, operation, maintenance an are-operation of the project when finishing it’s lifecycle.

In particular, PNE AG always combines to ensure economic efficiency with responsibility for the ecosystem protection. Currently, besides the existing markets, PNE AG also focuses on expanding activities in South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, including offshore wind power park in Vietnam.

Previously, on September 1, 2020, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and PNE AG Group had a working meeting with Binh Dinh PPC.

At the meeting, PNE AG proposed to develop a wind power project on the sea ò Binh Dinh province with a capacity of 500 -700 MW and an investment level of US$ 1.5 billion.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen PHI Long, the Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh PPC committed to create the most favorable conditions for investor in coordination with the provincial and central organizations to complete the necessary procedures for starting up project development as soon as possible.
