Doosan Vina Ships Three Giant RMQC Cargo Container Cranes to India

The Rail Mounted Quayside Cranes (RMQC) left Dosan Vina port to India
These three RMQC cranes,that are designed to handle 65 ton cargo containers, each weighed 1,400 tons, were 84m high, 144m long and 26m wide. They left Doosan Vina’s dedicated port on September 10th and will move to BMCTPL in the Jawaharlal Port area of the Port of Nehru, Mumbai, India. The transit is expected to taketwo weeks. Once docked and unloaded they will be tested, commissioned and delivered to the customer and because theses “Made in Vietnam” cranes were fully assembled prior to shipment they will soon be able to begin loading and unloading cargo at their new home in India.
Located at India’s largest container port, BMCT has berths with a depth of 16.5 meters and docks that are 2,000 meters in length. BMCT is well-connected to key markets in India by a network of highways and railroads and the projected capacity of the port is 4.8 million TEUs per annum.
Since Doosan Vina’s grand opening in May of 2009 the company has manufactured and shipped 71giant cargo container cranes to customers around the world.
