UK Partners plan to invest in a floating power plant in Hai Phong city

At the meeting, Mr. Paal Utvik – the Chairman of Storm Partners said, after the meeting with Hai Phong leaders on August 29, 2018, Storm Capital Partners surveyed the location for the plant and selected suitable location in the area of Lach Huyen deep water port (Hai Phong sea), which ensures the requirements for the floating power plant construction and for LNG vessels to move in-out conveniently.
The Storm Capital Partners also carried out the negotiations with the large financial organizations and banks in the world for to arrange investment capital for the project. The power plant with the most modern today and not causing environmental pollution technology will be constructed for 18-20 months and operated with a lifetime of 20 – 25 years.
The Investors suggested Hai Phong CPC to provide with the information about the location expected for power plant construction, and the existing power grid infrastructure in Lach Huyen area.
According to Mr. Tung, Hai Phong CPC supports very much the project, and will report about it the government, ministers and central agencies for consideration. With the agreements of those organizations, Hai Phong CPC will cooperate with the investors to implement the project.
