New cooperation opportunities for the PJSC Power Machines in Vietnam

 - The first Client Conference of PJSC Power Machines (PM - Russian Federation) held in Hanoi on Sept. 6, 2017 is an important event for a new opportunity for PM to continue its strong participation in power projects in Vietnam coming time.

Participating in the Conference from Vietnam side were the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT); Electricity of Vietnam (EVN); PetroVietnam; Vinacomin; Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution Corporations; Thermal and Hydropower Plants and Power Project Management Boards …

Speaking at the Conference Mr. Do Duc Quan – Vice Director of the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy (MOIT), said: Today comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation is built on the basis of inheriting good relations between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union. Through many ups and downs of history, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia has become increasingly warm and confident.

Along with the good history of development between the two nations, PJSC Power Machines has come to Vietnam’s Electricity Sector for over half a century with supplying three units of Thac Ba hydropower plant (HPP), a biggest power project in Northern Vietnam before 1975; and then in turn, units of Uong Bi, Pha Lại thermal power plants (TPP), Tri An, Hoa Binh, Ialy, Can Don, Se San 3 HPPs, Uong Bi expanded TPP. In 2015, Power Mạchines became the “Turn key” contactor of PetroVietnam Long Phu I TPP with a capacity of 1200MW. This event has become an important historical milestone marking the partnership between PM and Vietnam’s Power Sector promoted up to a new height.

According to Mr. Quan, the technological equipment of Power Machines installed in Vietnam’s power plants up to now has a capacity of over 4500 MW (equal to15% of the total capacity of the whole country Power System) and is operated with a high stability, reliability and efficiency.

Mr. Quan also informed that the power plants development investment plan in power plants of Vietnam’s Power Sector in 2016 -2030 period is very large as a total capacity of more than 80 thousand megawatts of TPP, HPP and Renewable energy power projects. This is an opportunity for Russian partners to continuously participate in power development in Vietnam coming years.

Mrs. Kozlova emphasized, the client conference, first time held in Hanoi today is a traditional activity of Power Machines with a desire to promote the good results achieved in the past for deepening the partnership with Vietnamese Clients on the way of development. Though this event, Power Machines wishes to introduce to Vietnam’s Power Sector the new products, advanced and effective solutions for TPPs, HPPs and integrated power grid; and as well as the potential and advantage of Power Machines in all aspects of the energy industry and vision to develop the market in Vietnam in the future.  

At the conference, Power Machines experts presented the reports on it’s new technological solutions for improving, upgrading and modernizing the old HPPs, technological equipment and technical services for TPPs, Renewables, transmission grids…

All the questions of Vietnamese sciences, experts and businessmen concerning technologies, services of Power Machines and as well as it’s development policy of in global sphere and in Vietnam were answered fully and adequately.
