Vietnam facilitates US partners to develop gas power projects

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh highly appreciated the successful and effective operation of AES Group in Vietnam from 2010, notably the BOT Mong Duong 2 coal fired thermal power project has been completed before schedule, without capital increase, won many awards on safety and stably operated, that contributed to ensuring energy security for Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Van Binh also asked AES with its financial and technological potential, as well as experience and knowing inside out energy market of Vietnam will continue to promote the development investment activities in Vietnam, especially in the context of that Vietnam is very much needing the large investments in the energy sector and also paying attention to the US partners.
Mr. David Stone highly appreciated the investment environment and potential in the energy sector of Vietnam. He also expressed his desire to participate in implementing the LNG Son My warehouse project and the Son My 2 Gas Power project in Binh Thuan.
According to Vietnam Energy Magazine, AES group is in the list of the 200 largest energy companies in the world with more than 10,000 employees and at the present is the largest gas supplier in the Central American and Caribbean regions.
