Powering Ninh Phuoc 220 kV transformer substation and connecting power lines

 - After a period of construction efforts, at 4:30 on June 29, 2020, in Ninh Phuoc 220 kV transformer substation (TS), the Power Project Management Board of the Central Region in cooperation with relevant units organized powering and putting into operation Ninh Phuoc 220 kV transformer substation and connecting power lines.

The worker are powering at Ninh Phuoc 220 kV TS.

In order to timely release power of the renewable energy (RE) projects in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces and contribute to reducing losses of the power transmission grids, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) invested in Ninh Phuoc 220 kV TS and connecting power lines for collecting power capacities from the RE projects in the region to the national power system.

The project was started on January 22, 2020 and selected by the Party Committees of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) as a project to welcome the 3rd EVN Party Congress (in the term of 2020-2025) and 13th National Party Congress.

The transformer AT1 with 220 kV - 250MVA at Ninh Phuoc TS.

After completing phase 1 ahead of schedule, the Central Power Management Board will install two 220 KV feeders and complete the 220 kV loop bus-bar scheme in the IV quarter of 2020.

The project including 02 transformers (AT1 and AT2) with capacity of 250 MVA, 08 feeders of 220 kV, 02 feeders of 110 kV, 02 feeders of 22 kV, 220 kV transmission line with 4 circuits by length of 4.6 km from Ninh Phuoc TS to Vinh Tan power plant – Thap Cham 220 kV power line, and the precautionary positions for future installing 06 feeders of 220 kV, 02 feeders of 110 kV.

When being in operation, Ninh Phuoc 220 kV TS can release 306 MW from RE projects connected with 110 kV power grid to 220 kV grid.
