This project invested by the National Electricity Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), designed and constructed by Single Member Power Construction Company Ltd. 4 (PCC4), managed in construction by CPMB on behalf of EVNNPT, undertaken for supervision by EVN International Joint Stock Company (EVNI) and Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 (PECC1), tested by Electric Testing and Researching Joint Stock Company (ETRC), and received for operation by Power Transmission Company (PTC1).

The project with a total investment of VND 777 billion includes:

1/ An open transformer substation including: 2x450MVA transformers at 500/220/35kV and 2x250MVA transformers at 220/110/22kV, of which, in the first stage, only one transformer of 450MVA and one 250MVA were set up; 500kV, 220 and 110kV feeders; and other relevant equipment for the transformer substation.

2/ A double line with a length of 1,547 meters from Son La – Lai Chau 500kV double transmission line to Lai Chau 500kV transformer substation.
