EVN has completed 110 power grid projects for 6 months

Among the completed projects are 500 kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line, 500kV Pleiku 2 substation (for raising power transmission capability from the Center to the South) and projects to ensure power supply for Hanoi city (220 kV Son Tay substation, 110 kV Noi Bai airport substation…). Regarding rural electrification investment, EVN has completed procedures to finish the project for improving and upgrading rural electricity networks invested by EUR 120 million of borrowed funds from German KfW Development Bank, finished electricity supply for Cai Chien commune - the last island commune of Quang Ninh province not yet connected with the national power grid and continues to implement the project for electricity supply to Tan Hiep commune on Cham island (Quang Nam province) by submarine cable  from the national power grid (expected to be done by Sept. 2016). 

The projects of electricity supply for Lai Son and Hon Nghe island communes (Kien Giang province) from the  national power grid are expected to be done respectively in July and the third quarter, 2016. 

In coming time, EVN continues to carry out the projects on distribution electricity networks improvement by borrowed funds of KfW and WB, and the projects on rural electrification for households without electricity in Lai Chau, Son La, Bac Kan and Nghe An provinces by budget funds.

For the power plants, EVN has synchronized unit No 2 (400 MW) of Lai Chau hydropower plant (HPP), unit No2 (260 MW) of Huoi Quang HPP and started to construct extended Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant (TPP-600 MW); completed to provide conditional Production Acceptant Certificate (PAC) for 04 power thermal aggregates as unit No2 of Vinh Tan 2, unit No2 of Mong Duong 1 and 02 units of Duyen Hai 1; completed flood control targets in 2016 for 04 HPPs as Huoi Quang, Lai Chau, Trung Son and extended Thac Mo.

The construction of TPPs in Vinh Tan power center (Vinh Tan 4 and extended Vinh Tan 4), Thai Binh TPP and Song Bung, Trung Son, extended Thac Mo, extended Da Nhim HPPs basically sticks close on progress.

The total investment value of  EVN in 6 first months, 2016 is estimated VND 67,678 billion, with a disbursement of 52,171 billion.
