AES wants to invest in Son My 2 Gas Power Project

This project is considered to contribute to promoting trade and investment between the two countries in the future.
According to Mr. David Stone, AES is on the list of 200 global energy companies ranked by Fortune Magazine. AES currently owns a liquefied gas plant in the Dominican Republic and is the investor of the liquefied gas depot in Panama.
In Vietnam, AES has invested in Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant (Quang Ninh) and is finding out about investment in Son My 2 Gas Power Plant by BOT form. Besides, AES is also cooperating with PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) to carry out the LNG depot project in Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province.
For the Son My 2 Gas Power Plant Project, the Deputy PM suggested AES to continue discussions with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to determine the appropriate investment form. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will directly remove difficulties in the process of understanding and investment cooperation.
