On October 03, 2017, concluding at the online executive production briefing in October, the General director of Vinacomin Dang Thanh Hai asked the units to concentrate on producing high quality coal for export in order to compensate for the decrease in production due to low demand for electricity generation recent time.
Previously, in September, due to coal sale in the market was still difficult, Vinacomin directed its members having coal products that the market does not need could reduce the production, and strengthen the land stripping and pit digging to be ready for continuously normally producing when the market returns to the favorable conditions.
In the last months of 2017, Vinacomin will operate coal production by the monthly sale and try to reduce at least 500,000 tons of inventory coal to lead the coal amount in stock to less than 6 million ton in 2018.
Particularly, in October of 2017, Vinacomin plans to achieve the targets: crude coal production - 2.7 million tons, coal sale - 3.04 million tons, land slipping – 13 million cubic meters and pit digging – 21,300 meters.
In 2018, Vinacomin plans to sell 36 million tons of the coal and directs its members to produce by the three scenarios: 36, 35 and 34 million tons dependently on the market demand so that the amount in stock limited at 5-6 million tons.
