Vinacomin attains more than 47tr dong revenue in five months - 

The Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) has published the report on manufacturing and business activities in May and the first five months of 2014.

Accordingly, in May 2014, Vinacomin’s revenue from coal consumption was 4.8 trillion dong, bringing the group revenue to an estimated amount of 47.156 trillion dong, accounting for 44.7 percent of the full year plan and equivalent to 117 percent compared with the same period in 2013, in which sales of coal was 23.829 trillion dong, the production and consumption of minerals was 2.542 trillion dong, electricity manufacturing and sales was 5.558 trillion dong.

In the first five months of 2014, Vinacomin exploited 16.7 million tonnes of coal, achieving 44.1 percent of the year plan; the consumption was estimated at 15.5 million tonnes, including 3.3 million tonnes for exports and 12.2 million tonnes for domestic consumption.

By the end of May, Vinacomin still has an inventory of about 7.4 million tonnes of coal and 5.3 million tonnes of clean coal.

Under the plan, in this June, Vinacomin will produce about 3.3 million tonnes of coal and consume about 3.4 million tonnes, in which exports are expected at 650 thousand tonnes, and domestic sales are projected at 2.7 million tonnes.

In addition, the Group strives to attain the productivity of minerals, electricity, mechanics, industrial explosives, and commercial services of over 8.5 percent of the whole year plan.
