Exploring resources is a vital factor for sustainable development of Vinacomin

According to Vinacomin, the total exploratory, surveying volume of the group in 2019 (by plan and supplement plan) was 255,866m, including 179.5m by production capital and 76.366 by scientific, technical and technological capital.  

The exploratory and surveying results of Vinacomin to the end of August 2019 are: completion of 31.1% of planned volume for constructing the projects receiving licenses on exploration or exploitation by centralized costs; 75% of planned exploratory and exploiting volumes.

Sharing views on issues related to the exploration of TKV, Member of the Board of Members of the Group Pham Van Mat emphasized that in recent years, under the close and drastic guidance of the Group's leaders, exploration and development of resources are particularly interested in deploying.

The Division of Resources of the Group and its units have made great efforts in the process of deploying exploration and development of resources since the beginning of the year until now, although facing many difficulties.

However, the investors, consultants and construction units need to stick to the reality, especially the remaining and limited points in this work, thereby making adjustments accordingly and timely.

In order to overcome difficulties and accelerate the exploratory and surveying plans in period of 2019-2020 and the 5-year plan for 2021-2025, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan the Vinacomin Deputy General Director directed, it is necessary to always consider the exploratory activities for developing resources as development a vital factor for the sustainable development of Vinacomin.

In the immediate future, in the remaining months of 2019, the member units must   promote the achieved results, continue to closely follow the plans to explore for upgrading reserves and to explore for exploiting in the period 2019 - 2020, and the approved 5-year plan in 2021-2025, with specific focus on the main tasks as:

1. Regarding the remaining exploration volume, investors must formulate exploratory plans, establish the drawing designs for the approved projects.

2. Eight units which not completed the procedures for selecting construction units have to urgently complete it.

3. The consulting units in coordination with coal and mineral production units to work with the General Department of Mineral Geology and the Reserves Council for early to receive the exploratory licenses.

4. The Resources Board in coordination with the Planning and Financial - Accounting Departments must early complete the report on bidding activity for submitting it to Vinacomin Member Council.
